There is a joke when someone called me over the phone and asked me where I am.

I replied: “Wa ti kiao keh”. (I am asking for chicken, chicken in Chinese can be mean prostitute).
The other end was a bit shocked and he keep asking: “Ha mit keh?” (What type of chicken?)
I replied again: “Huan nah keh” (Malay Chicken)
The other end was traumatized and he nearly fall down from the chair after I replied so. He really though that I was engaging with Malay prostitute.

Actually the chicken that I was referring to is the Malay Chicken Rice that was located at Perai Industries area. Usually Perai Industrial Area is slightly hard to find good food as most of the building around are factories. However this particular place served great Malay style chicken rice.

This place is very suitable when we are out for lunch with Muslim friends, this stall served halal and localized food. Although this place do not have air conditioning, but the food and the service is excellent.

Direction to this place if you are using exit from Penang Bridge, take the first left turn to Jalan Perusahaan until you reached the round about, take the 4th exit which is turning back to Jalan Perusahaan. Keep driving for another 50 meters and watch out for your left for Lorong Perusahaan 3, drive straight until you can see Parkson Food Court in front of you, look to your right hand side and you will see this particular Malay stall.

The name of this stall is called 3M Brothers Serestu. It is one of the stall that operate 24hrs and 7 days a week at this area, even you are working until 3 in the morning, this place will still be operating as normal serving you good food.

3M Brothers not just selling Chicken Rice, instead they also sell Laici Kang, Ais Kacang and Nasi Beriani. Is a place that similar to 7-11, convenience food stall.

However, this time I am focusing on their chicken rice instead. So far, I had been visiting this place for more than 3 times and the taste of the chicken rice served still very consistent.

A plate of Malay style chicken rice (RM3.30) is served with batter rice sprinkle with fried onion and spring onion. Roasted chicken served with dark soya sauce mixed with sweet soya sauce, semi-home made chili sauce (a mixture of home made chili sauce with manufactured chili sauce).  A bowl of chicken-stock soup and some cutted vaggie are served in a iron plate.

The batter rice is rice and have very strong smell of herb. The tenderness of chicken still maintain it freshness and also mixture of the sauce is excellent combination.

For those that working in Perai Industrial area and if you are happen to be lazy to drive that far for lunch or your lunch break is short. Take note of this place as it is near and convenience, taste good and the portion provided is worths the money.
