Spiritual thing is an unexplained object. Do you believe in ghosts? I have asked a lot of people about the belief in ghosts or spiritual things, most of the feedback I received were ”I believe half-half”. I find this answer very strange. Either we choose to believe it fully or we don’t believe it at all. There is no such thing as half-half.
This month is the Chinese Lunar 7th month and it is also known as ”The Hungry Ghost Month”. As legend believes during this month all the spiritual “things” will be let lose and free to walk in our world. Therefore, the percentage of bumping into them is higher. In this post I am going to share with you all the DOs and DONTs during this month and also some pictures of the celebration. For those who want to overcome “spiritual” meets and also for those that don’t believe precaution is better than cure, this will be a good guideline.
Avoiding standing under the tree or under the bus stop during night time.
Usually it is dark and cold under the tree shade and bus stop. It is believed that these “things” will usually rest under that kind of condition. If you are “good” luck that day, it will follow you back home.

Manicure, do not use dark or black color
Ladies, if you love paiting your nails and frequently visit the manicure center, please choose light colour coat for your nails during this period. this is because only dead people will have dark-coloured nails. If you have that color they might think that you are one of them.
Do not step or kick the praying items and temporary altar by the roadside.
During the Lunar 7th month, there will be a lot of praying items and temporary altars placed by the roadside and these are all meant for the “thing”. If you accidentally stepped on them, it is better that you apologise to them. Else if you get them angry I am not sure what they can do.

Do not place your kid on the altar/offering table when visiting or praying to these sites.
As there was a case where a mother took her child to this event, the kid’s shoe dropped while the mother was handling some offerings. The mother placed the kid on the altar to pick up the shoe from the floor. After she got the shoe, the whole kid had turned into blank color and passed away.

It’s drawing near to year end and there are plenty of leaves to be cleared off. I believe there are many people who have left with more than half of their total annual leaves and have yet to plan how to clear off the leaves.
One thing that strikes the mind is to take a nice and long holiday. You can easily spend at least 4-5 days holidaying somewhere in the coast or highlands. BootsnAll Travel is definitely a good reference site to start with. It has Cheap flights to Dublin, Amsterdam, Hawaii, New York, and some parts of Asia.
BootsnAll Travel is not just another travel booking site. It has plenty to offer to its customers with its great rates and discounts available on the website. If you browse to the Airfare Specials page, you can choose from a list of destination with special fares, for example to Hong Kong. It will list out various departure cities within the US and which airline has the best deal for you. The website will conveniently list out the 1-888 number to call for booking.
If you don’t think they are offering the best deal for you, you can use their airfare comparison tool to search up to 6 providers at once. It is a relatively user-friendly tool to use to search for best travel deals online.

Just passed by Bayan Lepas Phase 4 for lunch this afternoon (Friday) and there was a tragedy happened on an overturned truck in the middle of the road. The overturned truck caused a slow-moving traffic along Phase 3/4. The driver however managed to get out from the truck with minor injuries but for sure the goods inside the container must have been damaged. For those expecting a courier service today, please pray that this is not your belonging.

For those looking for great food in Penang during night time, even after clubbing or thinking of having supper, Dhoby Ghaut Cafe is one of the late night stalls that operates during post-dinner hours.
The location of the Dhoby Ghaut Cafe is located at Sungai Nibong Kecil and it is just beside D’Aver Cafe. This particular stall is originally from Dhoby Ghaut Road, that is why the name of this coffee shop is also called Dhoby Ghaut Cafe. I don’t know why the signboard is putting up in Japanese word “食の屋”? may be one of the investors is Japanese.

It has been a while there are no update from the chamber of VIP bloggers. I have been meeting up the great full time blogger BB Community. I really give him my salute as he is so daring to quit his job as an IT administrator and has become a full-time blogger, this takes a very great courage.
SlowCatchupKuan, now has become a movie reviewer instead of a jukebox blogger. I still love her previous blogs that played music while I was working late at my customer’s place.
The Zaplang blogger, Merdurian is now in Brisbane. Previously addicted to DOTA, but now is out of the country to further her studies. Congratulations to Merdurian upon her studies.
BabyOnBoard - it has been a while since I heard from him? Not sure what is he up to now?
For myself, I am still the same food blogger who is still finding ways to work out on internet marketing. I have met up with BB Community at Borders bookstore in Time Square KL last 2 weeks. Now he’s with hair :).

After the meeting with BB community I have worked my way out to Coliseum Cafe and Hotel at Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman. I have been writing about this on my previous post, Jln T.A.R - Best Steak in town - Colisuem Cafe & Hotel. I have come back to it again as I feel that it is still the best compared to other steak houses. The outside of Coliseum Cafe & Hotel looks very old, it seems like a pre-war building.

The business hours for Coliseum cafe is from Monday - Friday 10:00am to 10:00pm. Saturday, Sunday and Public Holiday is from 9am to 10pm. For those who want to call for reservation the number is 03-26926270.

After my previous post about iKopi at Petaling Street, it has been a while that I haven’t really blogged about the great food in Petaling Street (Chinatown). There are a lot of great food along Petaling Street, such as Portugal Kari Ikan Panggang (Portuguese Grilled Curry Fish) and also Lo Han Gor (Chinese Herbal Tea). Well, today I am not going to blog about that yet as they are too commercialised already. I will consider about that may be after sometime when I have finished with all the non-commercialised or newly stalls.
The food that I am going to introduce today is a road side stall and it is located at the middle of Petaling Street. By the way, I have a cousin who stays in Selangor for more than 5 years and he is still unaware of such nice food in Petaling Street. Therefore, I have the urge that it is definitely a MUST to introduce the place to all of you.
The exact location of this stall is just opposite Restaurant Kim Lian Kee and Reggae Bar of Petaling Street.

In front of the stall you will see the Clara building and PSDN building.

Many times when people mention about yam rice, the immediate response is the Yam rice at Prai, Chai Leng Park. Actually, there are a few stores of Yam rice in Penang island itself which are very nice too. The one that I am going to introduce is located at Relau. The store is located in a hawker center at the junction between Maybank and Public Bank in Relau.

The name of the hawker center is called Golden Lake Food Corner. It is actually located by the corner lots. There are plenty of hawker delicacies in this food center.

One of the stalls that I recommend is the “Chai Yam Rice” (财芋饭). The stall is located on the right towards the end of the hawker center.
